I like Metronomy. Their songs are catchy, their music is identifiable and their timing is good. This title track warms us up towards their new album, out on March 10th…or 9th, if you’re buying it at Rough Trade East it seems.
Their new video is remarkable, if only that it’s the first music video produced by Michel Gondry since Björk’s “Crystalline” in 2011. Popular for his practical yet complex and creative approach, this video doesn’t disappoint.
Metronomy are playing Brixton Academy on 28th March but, as you’d probably have guessed, it’s sold out. If you’re quick on your feet, however, you can grab their album and a wristband for an in-store show in Rough Trade East on the 9th. If that’s too much for a Sunday, you can always catch them in London’s catch-all-indie festival, Field Day on June 7th.
